These durable racks and covers are built for strength and quality, making outdoor storage of logs more practical. Assemble easily with arc welded end sections. Black powder coat finish on the rectangular steel tubing, 2" x 1", this keeps your wood off of the floor while keeping a low profile. One of the reasons these units are so strong is that the 2" side of the tubing supports the load. (1/8 cord unit is made out of 1" 14 ga. square tubing). All racks are proudly made in the U.S.A. Every unit includes the cover. The covers are simply made out of the very best mildew resistant material made to last for years! Comes in 1/8 cord 3', 1/4 cord 4' or 5', 1/2 cord 8' or 10'. Assembly required.

Firewood storage tips:
1-Try to keep your wood covered with plastic, canvas, or some type of metal covering. 2- Keep it off the ground and don't let it touch your building. Wood keeps better when there is air circulation. Wood attracts insects and termites so it should never be stored directly adjacent to a wood building.

Types of Firewood:
1- Hardwoods
The best type of firewoods to use are Oak, Walnut, or Hickory because they burn hot, and the longest amount of time.
2- Softwoods
Pine, Cedar and Spruce are best used as kindling wood because they tend to burn quickly.
Whichever type of wood is selected, try to make sure that it is dry and seasoned.
