The 5" or 3" bed risers are the perfect solution if the bed is too high. They help you lower the bed to make it easier to get in and out of. Bed elevators install in two easy steps, first attach the base plate to the bottom of the box spring with provided screws, then simply twist the leg stem. Please see zoom for brief installation instructions and Other Info tab for base plate dimensions and information. If you have a headboard, the bed elevators replace the rails, so you will need to purchase the headboard brackets SKu # 5629
We recommend that the box spring side rails, Full XL and Queen center rails, be high quality kiln dried wood 1" by 4" (finished dimension 3/4" by 3 1/2"). For these installations the outside set of screw holes (1 15/16" o.c.) should be used. When manufacturers have chosen to provide a rail of smaller dimension (actual width must be 2" or greater), the inside set of holes (1 1/4" o.c.) should be used. Please verify that your box spring rails are of sufficient size to adaquately accept the Bed Elevator as indicated. Use only the hardware supplied by the Bed Elevator, 4 screws only per each plate. All screws are provided with each shipment.
